Vernacular Cinema was a monthly screening event that focused on sharing and developing the work of Bay Area filmmakers. Held in living rooms, kitchens, and shared spaces, the event was a casual non-internet based way to show each other our work. VC programmed short form, cinematically inclined pieces generally less than ten minutes each but welcomed excerpts, experiments, and works in progress as well. The only additional requirement be that a representative for each piece be present, as we held 5 minute lightning round Q+As after each piece screened to associate a face and intention with each.
